Author Guidelines

Thank you for choosing the Indonesian Journal of Coastal & Ocean Engineering (IJCOE) as a platform for publishing your scientific work. To ensure a smooth submission and publication process, please follow the guidelines below:

  1. Article Submission Format
  • Articles should be submitted in format (.doc or .docx).
  • Use Arial font, size 10 pt, 1.5 line spacing, 2 cm margins on top and bottom, and 1.5 cm on left and right.
  • Word count: Between 4,000 - 6,000 words (including tables, figures, and references).
  • Each article should include:
    • Title: Concise and descriptive of the content of the article.
    • Abstract: A maximum of 250 words, summarizing the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
    • Keywords: A maximum of 5 relevant keywords.
    • Introduction: Describes the background, research problem, and purpose of the study.
    • Methodology: A clear explanation of the research methods used.
    • Results and Discussion: A detailed presentation of the research findings and their discussion.
    • Conclusion and Recommendations: A summary of the research conclusions and suggestions for future research.
    • References: Following the Harvard citation style.
  1. Use of Figures and Tables
  • Figures and tables should be clearly referenced and explained in the text.
  • Each figure and table should be numbered and have appropriate captions or titles.
  • Ensure high-quality, clear, and legible figures and tables.
  1. Submission Process
  • Submit your manuscript through the online submission system on the journal's website.
  • Fill out all necessary information during submission, including author details.
  • Submitted articles will undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure scientific rigor and relevance.
  1. Copyright and Publication Ethics
  • By submitting an article, authors agree to transfer the copyright of the article to IJCOE if it is accepted for publication.
  • Authors must ensure that the article is their original work and does not contain any plagiarism.
  • Authors should properly attribute all data sources, figures, and references used in their articles.
  1. Publication Fees
  • IJCOE charges an article processing fee (APC) which is due after the article is accepted for publication.
  • The publication fee covers administrative, editorial, and processing costs.
  1. Citation Style
  • Articles must use the Harvad citation style for references.
  • References should be recent and relevant, preferably from within the last 10 years.
  1. Additional Guidelines
  • Articles must be submitted in either Indonesian or English.
  • Manuscripts should be free of grammatical and typographical errors.
  • Articles that do not comply with the submission guidelines will be returned for revision.
